During the afternoon of Wednesday 13th December, ResilienTogether’s first flood action community workshop took place at Standalone Farm, in collaboration with London South Bank University.

Community members and residents across Central Bedfordshire and the Pix Brook community gathered to discuss issues that they come across in dealing with local flooding and preparing for floods. The workshop asked the questions

What do you do if you see a flooding incident in your local community?

James Bishop from London South Bank University facilitated the world café workshop, a non-directional engagement event run in an informal environment.

‘There is no ‘one fix’ for flooding’ – Mary Dhonau-Long OBE

We were also fortunate enough to have Mary Dhonau-Long OBE talk to the residents and attendees about her personal experience with flooding and shared some handy top tips on how to protect yourself and your home against floodwater.
